Summer Blooms

I wanted to create a piece using my interpretation of traditional stained glass techniques – using glass pigments that are painted on the glass and fused in the kiln to render them permanent. This design was conceived for my birth mother, whom I met for the first time a couple of years ago. The painted pieces were assembled using lead came. It is 14″ in diameter.
