Forest for the Trees

Forest for the Trees stained glass panel by Anne Thornton

The beach-side forest south of Grand Bend envelopes the casual stroller.  The pine, oak and occasional quirky cherry are nature’s stalwart sentinels – timeless yet responsive to season and weather.

This stained glass piece was constructed using the copper foil method. Opalescent Uruboros and Youghiogheny glasses were chosen to reflect the depth and dynamism of a natural scene. It is framed with hand-stained pine.
